(A Spotfire Binary Data File (SBDF) is a file format used for storing data within the Spotfire BI platform.)

Load the Data:

1. Download the data table file

2. Load the data into a Spotfire file

   1. Launch a Spotfire file

   2. Add a data source

      1. File > Add Data

      2. Navigate to the location of the downloaded data table file by using "Browse local file"

      3. Select the example data "DatesV01.SBDF" file

      4. Click Open

   3. On the "Add data to analysis" screen, update the new data table name to be "Dates" and click OK

3. At this point, the example data has been loaded into the Spotfire file. Feel free to follow along with the video.

About the Data:

All data tables provided contain fabricated data. This example table contains a series of dates from 1/1/1900 through 12/31/2100. The columns with dates as integer numbers represent the way Excel stores serial numbers for dates. They start Jan 1, 1900 and increment up for each day after.
